Writing Submission

JOCK issue deadline: June 20th

PRINT: OP is currently reviewing submissions for issue 10 – JOCK. We seek to publish personal stories or articles relating to (but not limited to) sports, olympians, training, fitness, healthy and unhealthy obsessions with the physical form, physical fitness triumphs or woes, body diversity in sports, personal stories about your life in gym class, competitive sports teams, feelings towards main stream athletics from a trans perspective, or anything that you feel falls into the category of SPORTS / ATHLETICS / UNCONVENTIONAL JOCK REALNESS.‬

-Deadline: JUNE 20, 2012
-1000 words maximum
-Please include a one sentence bio about yourself.
-Please submit your completed submission as a Word document below

*If you need to send your submission as a Google document, please include at the top of your submission: NAME (As you would want it printed in OP), Email address, and Shipping address. Send completed submission to: plumbers@originalplumbing.com

BLOGGERS: OP is currently accepting writing samples from people who would like to be considered for the next round of OP bloggers. If you are interested in being a featured OP blogger, please send us an email with a writing sample, a few lines about yourself, and a pitch of what you’d like to share with OP’s online community. (Reviews? Personal “Dear Diary” blogs?  Covering community events?)

**All submitted pieces that follow the above guideline will be reviewed. Due to extreme amounts of entries and limited space in the magazine only a few slots are available, but you may be asked to have your piece featured on Original Plumbing’s website. We thank you in advance for your submission and time!

***Please note that we can not currently pay contributors for their work. As a community-based magazine that is designed to feature and create visibility for trans guys by trans guys, this project is completely a labor of love. Everyone involved is volunteer-based. All authors will receive one copy of OP in which they were published, and retain full ownership of their work.
