Original Plumbing is the premier magazine for the FTM transgender, transsexual and trans male community.
Original Plumbing is a quarterly, pocket-sized, 56-page color and black & white, photo and interview saturated magazine with articles and personal narratives scattered throughout. Compared to the likes of BUTT magazine for gay men, GLU for lesbians, and BITCH for feminists, “OP” is a cutting-edge representation of an under-represented community. Since its launch in July of 2009, Original Plumbing’s popularity continues to grow from its presence through community-building events , online presence, and by gaining international attention from the media.
We are sold in shops across the US, Australia, Germany and Canada, with 50% of our magazine sales occurring through our website and subscriptions, where the bulk of those purchases come from the US and Canada.
Issue 1 of Original Plumbing, “The Bedroom Issue” sold out within 60 days. Issues 2 through 8 have been celebrated with successful release parties in NYC, Toronto, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
