Trans folks may encounter difficulties voting because of identification laws. Recent news reports say there is a group instructing their election volunteers to suppress transgender voices by claiming trans folks should be denied the right to vote.
No need to lecture about the importance of voting. Fear should not prevent you from hitting the polls: you can learn all about your rights as a voter at the National Center for Transgender Equality’s website and guide on Voting While Trans.
