A Wu Tsang Film

This Wednesday night is the world premier of Wu Tsang’s long-awaited film, WILDNESS.

WILDNESS is a documentary about community and the trans and queer people who found a home at Silver Platter bar in East Los Angeles. In 2008, Wu Tsang started a weekly art and performance party at Silver Platter called “Wildness”, which quickly gained popularity within the queer art scene. The film documents what happened when this landmark bar so popular among Latin trans people is gentrified by a group of young, queer artists.

Original Plumbing is proud to host the reception/after party, directly after the screening at Bombay Palace: 30 West 52 Street, NY, NY (Room reserved upstairs). Mingle with the filmmaker! Music by DJ El Ozito! Snacks, cash bar, BALLOONS!

Silver Platter is in Westlake (MacArthur Park), not East Los Angeles.
